Our history — The birth of a passion

It all started with a simple belief: to provide a space where everyone can reconnect with themselves through hot yoga. Since the opening of our first studio, Idolem has grown while remaining true to its mission: democratizing well-being and creating a caring community.

Offer a space where everyone can refocus, evolve and integrate well-being into their daily lives through hot yoga. Through our studios and our academy, we support each student towards physical and mental balance, in a caring and inclusive environment.
Our vision
Make Idolem a reference in hot yoga, where the practice goes beyond the mat to inspire a lifestyle focused on serenity, self-improvement and community. We aspire to grow while remaining true to our values of accessibility, excellence and humanity.

MELODY BENHAMOU

President and Founder

Did you know that IDOLEM is MELODI backwards?! Our founder Melody Benhamou, mother of two magnificent Buddhas, is above all a former high-level Beach Volleyball athlete with numerous medals. In business, our founder applies her perseverance as an athlete in her quest for well-being for all.

Mélody is a person who cares about her students and her network. Fascinated by details, our founder is building a community day by day that shines in each of her regions thanks to her diligent franchisees. Energetic, inventive and present, Mélody loves teamwork and has a real pleasure in waking up every morning to do good for her community.

Sarah Lamoureux

vice president & co-founder

A trainer by training, I complete my studies in nutrition by consolidating work and studies. When selecting my future job, I had to make the choice to continue in my field of study or to move forward with a growing company. I then jumped into the void with IDOLEM, deciding to believe that we would go far! Today, after 9 years, I am sharing what we have built over the years with the owners, who like us, believe in the ability of this business to move forward. My job is to support them in their dreams of becoming entrepreneurs.

Marie-Pier Bouchard

Art director

A graphic designer by training, Marie-Pier discovered hot yoga at Idolem as a perfect balance between body and mind. For more than 10 years, she has put her passion at the service of Idolem's visual identity, creating spaces and designs that reflect well-being and harmony.

JULIETTE SHOSTAKOFF

Director of Communities

Arriving in Quebec in 2022, Juliette discovered Idolem as a revelation. With a degree in communication, she is reconnecting with her passion by highlighting the essence of Idolem on digital technology. Its objective: to make the community shine and connect even more people to the well-being of yoga.

TANYA DE MONTIGNY

Idolem Academy Department Director

A former passionate athlete, Tanya discovered hot yoga as a real turning point. Trained at Idolem Académie, she specializes in therapeutic yoga. Today, she runs the Academy with the mission of transmitting well-being and balance through training.

Director of Development Department

Passionate about customer service and personal growth, Lynda discovered yoga as a revelation. Today, she trains Idolem counselors and ensures that each student receives a human and caring experience.

MAUD BARRÉ MINIOU

Marketing and digital director

With 15 years of experience in marketing and communication, Maud has contributed to the digital transformation of large companies such as Cirque du Soleil, KPMG and Cascades. Passionate about innovation and people, she optimizes Idolem's strategy with a holistic and efficient approach.

Jésabelle Jammes

Sales manager & wellness items

With 15 years of experience in customer service, Jesabelle joins Idolem with enthusiasm to refine the customer experience. Passionate about interior design and marketing, she creates inspiring spaces and develops strategies to help everyone achieve their goals with a human and attentive approach.

Angélique Vautier

Director of Corporate Partnerships

A paramedic for over 12 years, I discovered in Idolem hot yoga a real balance between action and letting go. An assiduous practitioner at the Boucherville studio, joining the Idolem family was obvious. Today, I am delighted to share this passion and to support everyone towards greater well-being.

Annie Filiatreault

Director of Abundance Department

With more than 15 years in accounting, she is passionate about everything related to entrepreneurship and people. She discovered yoga as a revelation that allowed her to refocus on herself.

Raymond Ndjonok-Tonye

Success coach

A former NCAA soccer athlete, Raymond turned his passion for sports to entrepreneurship and personal development. With his experience in business management and coaching, he supports franchisees and the head office of Idolem to guarantee operational excellence and promote the vision of the network. Her goal: to help others surpass themselves and reach their full potential.

Zakaria Jouahi

Live Department Director

With a Master's degree in finance, a background in digital marketing and a career as a professional soccer player, Zakaria has found a balance between performance and well-being in yoga. Passionate about mindfulness and sharing, he combines his digital communication skills with the world of Idolem to create experiences that inspire and soothe.
