foods
For courses and retreats taking place in Mont Tremblant:
Every noon, enjoy a vegetarian “lunchbox” meal carefully prepared to give you energy and balance. Each evening, a sumptuous vegetarian buffet, prepared by a passionate caterer, will await you. We invite you to bring your own breakfast, snacks and favorite beverages, in order to personalize these moments according to your needs and desires.
For courses in St Martin:
Food is not included in your training. You will have access to full kitchens to make your meals. We cannot specify a budget to expect because we do not know your tastes and dietary specificities. However, you will eat at the cottage all week. There will remain your day off that you can manage at your leisure and during which you will have to do your grocery shopping. We recommend that you bring nuts, organic protein bars, hydrolites and all the medications you need. Take note of the list of items to prepare on our site.
Use of alcohol and drugs
It is forbidden to consume alcohol and drugs on the premises, or on outdoor places.
Trainings: If you are a smoker, try to stop smoking by the time you graduate. And if you didn't succeed, don't smoke in front of the studio. Our mission is not to pass on information about yoga to you, but to make you become gifted, talented, well-rounded teachers who will have a career ahead of them.
Water consumption
St Martin: There is no natural source of water on the island, so it is imported to the entire villa. You will then understand how valuable it can be.
We have a total consumption of 5000 gallons for the expected month. This means about 1 shower per person per day, one washing of clothes per person per week, filling the pool and enough water for dishwashers on a daily basis.
Any excess is charged 170 US dollars per 1000 additional gallons. Excessive use will be levied in proportion to the number of students and deducted from the deposit if applicable.
Ménage
Your cleaning and storage must be maintained constantly in order to maintain a clean working and living environment and to respect its environment.
installments
If you have opted for the payment of the training by installment, be aware that there is a 3% fee which is added to the amount for financing.
Training manual
Your training manual will be given to you on the first day of the training. Any lost manual that needs to be replaced will be charged at a cost of $100 + taxes.
Bilingual use of training

We strongly recommend that you read your manual thoroughly for the first time.
To read and start integrating the list of suggested books on our website.
Monthly, weekly and daily schedule
For intensive courses: We will start our days around 6:00 in the morning and finish them around 21:00 with various Idolem teachers who will follow one another to teach you.
We have put in place a standard schedule, which can be modified at any time depending on the group's learning speed, weather conditions and other elements that could influence it.
Vacation days
Mont-Tremblant courses:
To make your stay smooth and harmonious, here are the practical details to keep in mind:
- Friday: The departure is scheduled to take place around 15:00. However, we ask that you vacate the dormitory and cottage rooms before 11:00am. This allows us to prepare the premises for the next events in the best conditions.
- Saturday: This day is dedicated to your rest and time with family and/or friends. Take full advantage of it to recharge your batteries at your own pace.
- Sunday: We will welcome you from 4:30pm for the resumption. Classes will start at 6:30pm. We recommend that you arrive a little early to take the time to settle in, organize your things, and eat before activities start.
St-martin courses:
You have one day off per week which is SATURDAY. Your trips and activities that you would like to do and that are not on schedule are your responsibility. Recognize that your day off is meant to rest, so you can start your study week again. Be moderate and take time off.
Activities during the training
Mont-Tremblant courses:
Mondays will be dedicated to our paddleboarding class when the season allows us to. The lake for this activity is 18 minutes away which we will carpool to avoid taking all our vehicles.
St-martin courses:
A full day trip is organized once a week for the first 3 weeks for a total of 3 outing activities. The location and duration are adapted to the climatic conditions and the availability of the place. During this day, you will continue your studies and learning, while visiting the beauties of your destination, through walking, hiking, paddleboarding or other activities. We set up activities at the last minute in order to be sure that they will be carried out. Travel expenses are included in your training. Your meal expenses will be at your expense.
Exam
You will have exercises on a constant basis, which should be sent by email on a specific date. In case of delay, points will be subtracted from the grade. If the exercise is not postponed, a grade of 0 will be given.
At the end of the training, a series of individual practical YOGA exams as well as a theoretical exam will be set up in order to validate your knowledge.
Our students must obtain a cumulative grade of 75% at the theoretical level and 85% at the practical level in order to continue their internship integration.
If they fail, they can do a remedial exam. We never had to do it, don't worry.
50-course internship
The internship is only mandatory for people who want to teach or who want to obtain IDOLEM certification. In order to integrate yourself into our studios, to gain teaching experience and to make yourself known by our franchisees, you will have an internship of 50 courses (1 hour or 1 hour 15 courses) which must be started within 6 months following the end date of your training.
Please note that this is not a 50-hour course but a 50-course course course. This is the amount of teaching that we consider necessary to certify that you are an experienced teacher who knows how to manage and adapt to his students with agility.
This internship is unpaid and will allow you to take the stress out of being a beginner when you are not yet a certified teacher.
You can teach your internship courses alone, as a teacher completing their training, or with assistance for the first 15 courses. The IDOLEM owners will provide you with constructive feedback to continue your training. Your instructor will always be available if you have any questions or concerns. Students will be notified that you are newly trained, so that everything happens in harmony and that you are given the tools to grow without pressure.
It is according to your availability and that of the Idolem studio of your choice and the other IDOLEM studios in need of replacements, that you will start your internship.
The summer period is perfect to start and accelerate your internship while the courses are less busy, with students used to our studios, and several teachers on vacation.
We will not be able to issue any certificate of follow-up of theoretical training or certification or other training, until your internship is completed. You understand that your training consists of a theoretical part and a practical part that are inseparable from each other.
Later in this questionnaire, you will find the internship agreement in principle that will allow you to work in all IDOLEM studios.
Agreement in principle for the integration of internships in Idolem studios
Hereby, we welcome you to our group, and we hope you will be a part of our family for a long time. We have put measures in place to ensure that the cooperation is as healthy and clear as possible. Please read it and sign the bottom of the page.
- Welcome your students less than 10 minutes before a class you are teaching, in the tea room, or at the door of the room in order to place them as soon as the room is available.
- Place students in the marks on the ground, in order to organize a reassuring and well-distributed classroom from the start.
- Take care of your yoga room between classes: check that karma or you are mopping up.
- Avoid postures that open at the sides, but rather forward when the classes are too full.
- Correct each student in the Shavasana posture the IDOLEM way.
- Take into account whether the student wants a physical correction or not using his intention card.
- Greet students who leave your course and pick up the intention cards and transfer students to the counter if they are not delivered.
- Answer the questions of your students, in a patient and always smiling way.
- Find your own replacements when you're away, let the studio owner know about your replacement, and make sure the online system is updated.
- If you have not found a replacement, then a fee of $10 will be deducted from your pay for the time allocated to find a professor for your course.
- Send a reminder to your substitute so they don't forget your course and students the day before the replacement.
- Continue to take training courses in order to improve yourself. The Idolem group can even create tailor-made courses for you, bring together other teachers, so that the dates better fit your busy schedule.
- Give your landlord 3 weeks notice if you no longer want to teach a course.
- Do not teach with a direct hot yoga competitor who is located less than 10 km from an Idolem, unless with the written agreement of the Idolem concerned. This clause does not apply if you are only making substitutions in Idolems.
- Talk on your Facebook and Instagram, about your courses, about yourself and on the studio page, when you have a class, in order to mark your passage.
- Help to make yourself known by setting up workshops in the studios or teaching you. The workshops are paid $10 per student present and the owners will give you all the support you need for the relevant promotion.
- Your course rate starts at $35 per course. We increase our teachers year round, on request, at a maximum rate of the Consumer Price Index, or CPI. The elements for accepting a raise are: 1. Attendance to the scheduled schedule 2. Replacement capacity for other professors 3. Assessment of the number of students taking your courses by the hour. 4. Acceptance of your increase by all Idolem owners.
- Make your invoices every two weeks and send them to the studio concerned. Only the studio where you taught the course is responsible for your remuneration. And you understand that they are all separate and unrelated entities.
- Follow the group of Idolem professors, and participate in events in order to meet up from time to time.
- If one day you want to start a business in the field of yoga, contact Melody and if not, do it in a place located more than 15 km from an Idolem studio and within a minimum period of 6 months after the end of your employment with Idolem, unless otherwise advised in writing by the Idolem head office. We recommend it to you for your success and ours, so that we all live together in harmony.
- Under no circumstances do you have the right to organize yoga retreats in Quebec or abroad by inviting students from our schools unless you have signed agreements with the head office and you have a Travel Consultant's license (That's the LAW).
- If you work for a yoga studio other than Idolem, please do not promote this studio in Idolem Studios, or invite Idolem customers to follow you to your other teaching locations. It's a simple matter of professional ethics.
- Always communicate if you need to express an opinion, in a professional manner, without waiting too long, because communication is key, and we will do everything we can to make sure we are all happy to work together.
